Essential Tips for Working with Claritee

To get the best results with Claritee, here are a few important practices to keep in mind.

Tip 1: Get Specific with Your AI Prompts

When using Claritee, the biggest factor in getting strong results is the quality of your AI prompts. This matters most when working in layout view to generate the content and structure of your pages.

How to Prompt Effectively

Instead of asking the AI for something generic, give specific instructions.

It is also recommended to add content to your page using AI section-by-section, rather than generating the entire page all at once.

Generic prompt (weak):
Make a Hero section for a tech agency news page.

Specific prompt (strong):
Make a Hero section for a tech agency focused on implementing AI for mid-size tech companies.
Include copy such as: “The #1 source for tech leadership news for growing mid-size companies.”
Keep the copy factual, technical, and to the point—avoid flowery language.

Why This Works

  • Specific prompts align the AI with your positioning and audience.

  • Section-by-section prompting produces more accurate layouts than trying to generate an entire page at once.

  • Supplying tone and copy direction early reduces editing later.

Bottom line: The clearer and more specific your prompts, the better the AI system can create layouts that reflect your vision.

Tip 2: Don’t Stress About Pixel Perfection in Layouts

When you’re working in layout view, the goal is clarity of content and structure—not perfect spacing or alignment. The design stage will automatically refine and clean up the look.

Why This Matters

  • Layout view = focus on content clarity and hierarchy.

  • Design view = focus on visual polish and spacing.

  • Spending too much time on pixel-perfect adjustments in layout view slows you down without improving the final result.

Bottom line: Use layout view to confirm the right content and structure. Trust design view to handle the final alignment and visual details.

Tip 3: Add Your Own Images for Better Results

Instead of always relying on the AI to choose images for you, take control by adding your own. This ensures your final design is more accurate and aligned with your brand.

How to Add Images

  • Go to the Images panel.

  • Browse your own files and upload directly, or

  • Search with Unsplash to find high-quality, free images and insert them into your project.

Why This Works

  • AI-chosen images are quick and convenient, but not always a perfect fit.

  • Adding your own keeps the design consistent with your brand’s identity and message.

  • Any images you set in layout view carry over automatically into design view.

Tip 4: Use iFrames to Embed External Content

Claritee allows you to embed live content directly into your project using iframes. This is especially useful for things like videos, maps, or other interactive elements.

How to Add an Iframe

  1. Select the element where you want the embed to appear.

  2. Open the Linking options.

  3. Choose Add Iframe Link.

  4. Paste in the iframe code (for example, from YouTube’s Embed option).

  5. Click Add, then select Set as Iframe.

Example

If you paste a YouTube iframe, the video becomes part of your layout. When you move into design view, that embedded content will carry over and display in the final design.

Why This Works

  • Iframes let you integrate dynamic or external content seamlessly.

  • Great for embedding videos, forms, calendars, or other third-party tools.

  • Keeps your design more interactive and representative of the final user experience.

Bottom line: Use iframes to bring live, embedded content straight into your Claritee designs.

Tip 5: Group and Ungroup Elements for Easier Editing

When working with multiple elements on a page, it can sometimes be tricky to select and resize individual items. Grouping and ungrouping makes this much easier.

How to Ungroup

  • Select a whole area with multiple elements inside.

  • Click Ungroup in the top toolbar.

  • Now each item is individually clickable, so you can move or resize them one by one.

How to Group

There are two ways to group elements back together:

  1. Shift + Click – Select items one by one while holding Shift.

  2. Drag Selection – Click and drag your cursor over the elements you want to group.

Once selected, you can group them again so they move and resize as a single unit.

Why This Helps

  • Ungrouping makes fine adjustments simple.

  • Grouping keeps related elements organized and easier to manage.

  • Switching between the two gives you full flexibility in arranging your layout.

Bottom line: Use grouping and ungrouping to streamline editing and keep your layouts easy to manage.
