Settings Panel (Bottom-Left)

The Settings Panel is always available from the bottom-left corner of your screen. These settings apply to your whole project, though different options affect different views (Map, Layout, or Design).

Color Settings (Layout View)

  • Image Display

    • Choose whether images display in black & white (default) or in full color.

    • This affects only the Layout View for clarity—your final design is unaffected.

  • Canvas Theme

    • Change the background theme of the Layout View (pink, black, blue, or dark).

    • This is purely for working convenience and does not affect your design output.

👉 Purpose: Keep the Layout View focused on content and messaging, not detailed design aesthetics.

Text Settings (Layout View)

  • Predefined Styles

    • Set default sizes for headings, subheadings, paragraphs, small text, and H1–H6 elements.

    • Example: Define “Heading” as size 80 → any time you choose “Heading” in Layout View, it will automatically apply that size.

  • Custom Text

    • You are not limited to predefined styles. You can manually set font size and style for any text element (e.g., making one heading size 102).

👉 Purpose: Use predefined options for project-wide consistency while still keeping flexibility to customize as needed.

Canvas Grid (Layout View)

  • Toggle a grid overlay on/off.

  • Displays faint dotted lines across the layout to help with alignment.

  • Example: If set to two columns, a line will appear down the middle of the canvas for alignment.

Status Settings (Map View)

Statuses are markers you can apply to pages or sections in your sitemap.

  • Common use-case 1: Kanban Style statuses

    • Typical workflow statuses: To Do, In Progress, In Review, Approved, Done.

    • You can edit these or create your own.

    • Example: Add “In Review” and assign it a yellow marker.

  • Common use-case 2: Ownership-based statuses

    • Assign statuses as color codes for people.

    • Example: Amy = Black, Mark = Pink. You can then mark pages/sections by person for easy delegation.

👉 Apply statuses:

  • Pages → Use the dot in the top-left of the page.

  • Sections → Click inside a section and select the status.

This gives you a visual snapshot of project progress or responsibilities directly from the sitemap.
